Courtney Willis is a licensed Landscape Architect and the owner of Southern Roots Studio. The daughter of a custom home builder/remodeler and avid gardener, Courtney gained awareness of the interrelationship between the built environment and it's natural surroundings at a young age. A desire to weave her love of the outdoors with her creative nature led her to earn a degree in landscape architecture from the University of Georgia. Five years of experience in design, management, installation and maintenance working for a reputable residential landscape architecture firm in Atlanta shaped her belief that a property's full functional, sustainable and aesthetic potential is captured through a collaborative effort between the client and designer. With this belief as a guide she established Southern Roots Studio in 2010; a firm offering services to transform a property's potential into reality by giving life to an outdoor extension of the home through creative, client specific, cost-conscious design and implementation.
